Jacob Brawer

Jacob is an experience designer & creative technologist with a deep interest in fostering holistic well-being. He builds multi-sensory environments - utilizing wearable devices and ambient technology to facilitate connection and co-regulation. His installations are are inherently interdisciplinary, sitting at the intersection of: affective neuroscience, BCI, somatics, biosensing, multi-media/LED art and human-centered design.

Breath is universal. Whatever your practice is to connect with yourself - meditation, breath work, yoga, journaling, etc. - breath is a critical component to the experience. In this installation, we expand your breath to fill the room.

Room to [Breathe] allows you to visualize your breath by connecting respiration wearable devices to LEDs that animates the room to breath with you.

Changing the focus from the DJ and the bar to novel interactive art that unifies the crowd. Inviting a new way to engage with social, musical environments.

Healing Room @ GRimes Rave

A place to seek refuge after a long night on the dance floor, the healing room creates a container for visualizing self-regulation (EEG-based biofeedback) in disregulating environments.

MULTI-SENSORY Journaling

A tool that takes an audio-journal entry input and creates a continually updating visualization of the themeatic undertones of your entry and allows you to interact with them by moving your body (using Stable Diffusion & Xbox Kinect via TouchDesigner)
